Catching up!

Ok, so I have to admit that when I got on and saw the last post was in December I was a little embarrassed! Obviously I am not so good at this whole blogging thing - and pictures.... well, not so much! But I am making a vow to be better at this especially for those of you who keep up with our family to do's via this site... and by the looks of everyone else's adorable sites I need to pick things up on the look of our site too! But with baby Cooper (#2 boy) due any day, that may take me a little while. I will at least try to keep on top of this better! I have updated you from January until now. So if you want it all, scroll to the bottom of the post and work your way up - as they are oldest to newest from the bottom up. Otherwise, enjoy whatever updates you want to see! Miss you all and hope this note finds you well!

The beginning of May we went over to Chelan and shared a house with two other families and their kids. Zachary was in heaven with more kids, more sugar and more fun than he has ever had! Outside of our unbearably early riser (he is up at 5am every day - yep - every day!), we had a great time! Laura brought makings for sugar cookies - yes, because she is super mom - from scratch sugar cookies with from scratch icing - so the kids got to decorate cookies and eat them! YUMMY!!!

We spent lots of time at the beach and the parks there to keep the kids occupied! Zachary and Daddy played lots of Tball and throwing games!

And the Zman spent lots of his time playing with water and buckets and rocks too!

Coloring with some big kid help! Hannah and Sebastian were great with the little guys!

At the park - happiest jumping or climbing but no slides or swings for him!

Throwing rocks... the most favorite!

Back at the house letting mommy take a load off..... Abby and Zachary - could they be twins or what!

The parade watchers!

It was Holland Happening, a local celebration which included a parade. So we went down into town for that and Zachary loved it! Every other float threw candy out which he of course thought was SO great!

Grammy finally came home from Arizona for the summer in April. We were thrilled to have her home! And Zachary sure loves his Grammy!! We spent the weekend up in Whidbey with her.

Drunk on Easter chocolate!

"Eat this one!??"

And oh the Easter candy! "Something in there!" he would say as he shook each egg and opened them one by one!

For Easter our neighborhood did an Easter egg hunt with all the kids. Very cute! After being in hibernation for the winter/spring seasons it was fun to see how many kids there are here! Zachary wasn't so sure of it at first, but once he figured it out he did pretty well for a first timer!

Trying really hard to be patient untit we could start! It was freezing cold, windy and a little rainy too! Yuck!

And they're off!!

This is Esmee and Zachary playing together.... Esmee calls Zachary her "Prince Zachary" SO CUTE!

Even though she really wanted him to wear a princess dress, he was willing to give in on the shoes...... and I think he liked them! :)

And in March Zachary celebrated his second birthday! He sang "Happy Birthday" to himself all day! We started the day with all his presents downstairs waiting for him! He was SO excited! "Presents" Presents!!"

And "moneys"! Who knew that a 2 year old could catch on to that idea so quick!!

Uncle Dan sent a stack of $2 bills - he LOVED them!!

And the weekend before we had a little party with family. Auntie Stacy & Jawanne gave him white Nike tennis shoes - he calls them his baseball shoes and wears them every minute of every day! Note the picture above - this is like 5am and he already has them on!!

And Nanna got him Tball which he is obsessed with! And that is how the new tennis shoes got their title as "baseball shoes"!

And my dad and Mary got him a band in a box which included a harmonica and a kazoo. Imagine the musical tunes that now play in our house!

And cake - for a kid who isn't big into sweets - it didn't take much for him to figure out the cake thing!

Happy Birthday to me!!

And we came home to snow..... bummer!! Let's just move to Arizona!! I mean it is March already! Ugh!!!

So we get silly inside! This is Z's favorite way to wear this helmet! And here he is dancing for you too!!
Now we are just getting cozy by the fire and pretend sleeping - which comes with fake snoring too!

In February we went to Arizona to visit Jen's Grammy! This is always such a fun trip! We also got to see cousin Jami and family - including the new baby Sofia! And Auntie Nancy and Uncle Frank! We had planned to spend an overnight alone in Scottsdale and were really looking forward to it, but ended up in Urgent Care with Zachary where he was diagnosed with Pneumonia, so that tells you about the rest of our trip! :)

This was day one right off the plane - happy to be in the sun!!!

On this trip Zachary learned about Mr. Potatoe Head and fun dress up stuff! He wore these glasses around Grammy's house constantly!

They have such great parks! Pregnant momma and Zachary were loving the chance to be out in the sun as we have been stuck inside for months!!

Daddy, Zachary and Grammy feeding the ducks at the park!

I couldn't resist! I just love the "rear view" shots of my two favorite guys!!

"More ducks eat it" "More ducks eat it!" This was a favorite pastime!

In January our Little Gym class did a medal ceremony where the kids were awarded for their efforts thus far... so cute! However, most did not care about their medals. Then there was Zachary. He not only cared about his medal, but he couldn't understand why no-one else wanted to wear theirs!

"Carson - I think you dropped this! Let me help you put your medal back on!"

"Carson - really you should be more careful! You dropped your medal again!!"

Have I told you yet how much I like my medal! So much that I wore it all the way home and fought mom to wear to bed for my nap too!! But, mom won!

Zachary and Carson have LOVED this class and we will do it together again this next session!
